On Thursday mornings I go for a run and turn on Strava on my phone.
Strava is a social app for runners and cyclists.
It tracks where I run and measures my kilometres, time and pace.
At the start of the run, I hit "record" and at the end of the run I hit "finish".
After the run, it provides a cool map:
One of the great things about this app is that it integrates with other people I know.
You can give kudos to friends and followers and leave comments on their runs.
I have reconnected with old friends using this app.
I find it very motivating to connect with others through Strava.
It is cool to see where my friends are running. Some of them are avid runners, who diligently post their runs, showing their maps and km's.
Strava can be used for walking, cycling, rowing, or recording weight training.
You can also join challenges to motivate yourself and stay on track while keeping healthy. I have just joined the May 10K Challenge!
Strava is free and can be downloaded in Google Play or Apple App Store.
