This blog post is specifically for people who suffer from Bipolar.
I was diagnosed with Bipolar when I was 22 and I have taken medication for 16 years.
Each person seems to have their own mood patterns, however bipolar can include a mix of mania, anxiety, and depression.
For me, I had manic highs followed by anxiety and 6 month depressions.
I usually had one manic episode a year and spent time in hospital and recovery homes.
I took up to 6 drugs to stabilise my mood each day.
I searched high and low (high and low😉) for a remedy until...drum roll

Meditation
Once I started meditating, my life changed.
Over 1 year I came off sleeping pills, which was a huge step.
With continued meditation, I reduced my medication with the help of my doctor.
With consistent effort, I have reduced my medication to a small dosage.
I have not had an episode for 6 years, nor have I had anxiety attacks or long depressions.
Bit by bit I healed.

Wow this is great! I was never formally diagnosed, but people often told me I had it... I'm the same as you! It was not until I started meditating that my wild mood swings stabilized to a generally happy and peaceful state. Thank you!
