To the universe, to the truth

Surrender emotions, feelings, and thoughts

The face brightens,

and peace.

I returned from a 6-day stay at a meditation centre in South Korea.

While I was there, I reflected on my mind, and discovered:

The mind is very deep.

Not trying so hard, and trusting the universe.

Unlocking caged doves into the sky, the doves are my true mind.

Through spiritual practices, we hear the words "let go".

I thought that if I "let go" of something from my mind, I would lose something, or that nothing would be left, as if that emptiness was nothing.

However, letting go is to return.

Surrendering to the universe, real happiness exists.

Surrendering my mind to the universe, instead of pushing thoughts out of me, put me at ease.

I could open to the universe, look deeply into my mind, reflect on my hardened beliefs, and the first story of my life.

It was very freeing to reflect and release strong emotions that had built up inside me

The meditation guide explained, "Imagine you are sitting in a cafe having a conversation. Reflect with that kind of mindset."

At midnight, after my meditation, I walked down the hallway with a smile. A big emotion had left me, and my mind was crystal clear. I went to sleep joyfully.

Loneliness disappeared while staying at the main centre.

I shared a room with four guys. Sharing a room with others was light and fun. Even though we couldn't all speak the same language, we laughed and shared snacks. How good it was. How joyful it was.

The meditation centre (or Main Centre as it is known) is a purpose-built place for people to find enlightenment, peace and rest.

The Main Centre is located in approximately the centre of South Korea, beside Gyeryongsan National Park.

An official YouTube video of the main centre can be found by clicking here.
