Story 3 - The Red Cup

There is a red cup in my cupboard.

The cup belonged to my previous flatmate who has now left the house.

I had negativity towards this person, and so after they left the house, the cup remained in the cupboard, unused for 3 years.

I did not want to drink from it.

Every time I opened the cupboard I would see the red cup.

Over time, my uneasy feelings towards this person subdued. I realised I needed to let go of my bitterness.

Over time, the cup grew on me.

I started to like it.

It no longer appeared cold, but warm.

One day, I made the bold move and took it down from the upper shelf of the cupboard...

Giving it a good clean, I boiled the kettle....

I made a cup of tea, sipping from the cup.

It has been my favourite cup ever since.

The perfect size for a cup of tea ❤️
