"The wound is where the Light enters you" - Rumi

In December last year, I had organised to record my new song.

I had diligently practiced and organised myself to record the song during my Christmas break. A precious time where I got 2 weeks off work.

I had found a producer, and we decided on a time, date, and place to record.

I had practiced the song many times.

On the recording day, I woke up early to practice and get myself ready for recording.

However, just as I was about to drive to the recording studio, I got a phone call that the studio was closed for the holidays.

I was angry, frustrated, and depressed.

I could not record my song.

2 months later, I have recorded the song, and it sounds much better than 2 months ago.

If the recording session was not cancelled, the song would be 70% complete.

Without knowing at the time, the cancellation gave me time to finish my song.

I have been able to refine and improve the structure and flow, getting it to a point where I am happy with it.

I have played it 200 times.

Today I recorded the song and feel good about it.

In a few weeks, I can share it online for people to listen to and enjoy.
