I arrived at work early at 6.45 am.
I sat down at my desk ready to start work, only to find I left my laptop at home!
I can't work without my laptop.
We had moved offices recently and so I didn't know if there were any spare computers I could work on.
I found a spare computer and decided to use it until the receptionist arrived at 7.30 am when I could ask her if there were any normal desks available.
I turned the PC on only to find it had no internet!
And, I couldn't connect to the server, which has my word documents!
Hunting around the office, I found a spare cable and plugged it in - the internet worked!!
I logged into Microsoft Outlook via the browser (not the normal way).
I could check my emails and do a bit of work.
While waiting for the receptionist to arrive, I changed my routine and had breakfast.
When the receptionist did arrive, my mind was clear, I asked:
"I left my laptop at home, is anyone on leave today? "
"John's not here, you can use his"
I could start work, at 7.30 am.
Before most of the office had arrived, I had adjusted without much of a glitch.
I was amazed with myself about how I could handle the situation.
In the past, if I left my laptop at home, it would be a write-off of half the day.
Thanks to the meditation I do, I had a clear mind and could take action with clarity.
While working, I had inferior minds come up... people looked at me strangely and wondered why I was sitting at someone else's desk.
However, I am grateful - the meditation method amazes me.
The ability to go through daily challenges makes such a difference.
