NZPI Conference - Reflections

I recently attended the annual New Zealand Planning Conference (NZPI).

This year the conference was in Hamilton, 1.5 hours drive from Auckland.

It was my first time joining the annual conference.

I was very fortunate my company paid for me to attend the conference.

There were many interesting speakers from NZ and overseas.

The conference ended on Friday night with a Gala Dinner.

I realized I have a privileged job.

I felt guilty being given all this fine food and waited on.

I felt like I didn't deserve it or need it.

The highlight was meeting up with old colleagues and meeting new people.

Meeting new people at the conference was fun

I met many people I had dealt with through emails but had never met in-person.

It was great connecting with these people.
