Motuihe Island - The Perfect Day Trip from Auckland

Yesterday, I took a boat ride to beautiful Motuihe Island in the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland, NZ.

This is an island I would recommend worth visiting.

From downtown Auckland, it is about a 30-minute boat ride.

The beauty of the island is that it is completely untouched. There are no shops or people living there.

It was Xmas time so there were a few boats out!

There are 2 main beaches, one on the ocean side (facing Waiheke Island) and the other calm bay to the southwest.

There is also a campground if you wish to stay overnight. Otherwise, it is the perfect day trip away from Auckland City.

I felt like I was on a tropical island!
