Today is my 38th birthday.
Usually, I go to the gym before work but because it is my birthday I contemplated on whether to go or not. I thought to myself “it's my birthday – I could just rest”.
I sensed big laziness inside me that I previously was not aware of.
At the last minute, I changed my mind and decided to bite the bullet. Just go to the gym. Just do it. You will feel better after, I thought.
To my surprise, my gym friends were there. They invited me to join in and work out together. They taught me a technique I did not know. I was amazed at how just being grateful changed my whole morning.
Reflecting time
It is now the end of the day and I am reflecting on my birthdays throughout my life.
Where did this lazy birthday habit come from?
It must come from the way I lived my life
I was always served on my birthday. For example, my mum always made me a birthday cake and I received presents from family members. Even tonight she made me a chocolate cake even though she was short on time (seen below).
I received so much today:
Beautiful blue sky day
Grateful morning workout with good people
Laughs with people at work
A productive day
Beautiful food with family
I don’t deserve it.
I am leaving the video below for people who wish to find a grateful mind.
Thank you for reading my birthday blog.
The photo with you and your parents Dave - what a beautiful smile! Love it, you look so happy and at ease :)
